This just in: Colorado Springs ranks number seven for best big cities to live in the U.S., according to MONEY’s latest ranking of the Top 10 Best Big Cities to Live in Right Now. The report compared U.S. cities with a population of 300,000 or more on a handful of key measures, including job growth, attractions and livability.

Ranked 2018’s No. 1 Most Desirable Place to Live by U.S. News & World Report, Colorado Springs is quickly attracting the national spotlight with its world class livability, outdoor activities and career opportunities.

Colorado Springs top-10 rank can be attributed to the city’s burgeoning tech ecosystem, reasonable cost of living and accessibility to iconic outdoor attractions and activities. In particular, MONEY spotlights the abundance of nearby ski resorts. Adventure-seekers, seasoned skiers and outdoor enthusiasts can get to world-class ski resorts in locations like Breckenridge and Vail, without the hassle of big-city congestion. The ranking also notes the city’s projected job growth of 7 percent by 2022 and its close proximity to Denver for additional amenities.
