Colorado Springs’ narrative highlights entrepreneurial spirit and love of community

Colorado Springs’ entrepreneurs are fostering a deep sense of place and changing the city’s narrative in the process. Not so long ago, we often looked to other destinations to learn what they’re doing and how they achieved success and recognition. That is no longer the case. From tech companies like BombBomb and Formstack to culinary contemporaries like Story Coffee and Wild Goose Meeting House, our region’s creative class is helping Colorado Springs garner (lots of) national attention and reframe the way we tell our story.

Case in point, Downtown Partnership‘s City Center Series, which previously brought in outside guest speakers to share examples of community building, will now feature the district’s own movers and shakers. Our own Yemi Mobolade, vice president of business retention and expansion (and entrepreneur himself), will moderate the panel with his business partner, Russ Ware. The Colorado Springs Business Journal recently chatted with Yemi and Downtown Partnership about the series and our region’s entrepreneurs. Read on here.
