WalletHub ranks Colorado Springs as the #5 Best City to Find a Job

The buzz about the Pikes Peak region continues into 2019 following a year of impressive headlines in 2018. WalletHub just ranked Colorado Springs as the #5 Best City to Find a Job. The ranking compared more than 180 U.S. cities across 30 key indicators of job market strength, including employment growth, monthly average starting salary and, of course, job opportunities. The metrics place Colorado Springs above other hot spots such as D.C., Austin, Seattle and Denver.

A breakdown of the indicators show Colorado Springs has the #1 highest employment growth of all included cities.

The high rankings can be attributed to the region’s growing cybersecurity ecosystem and robust defense industry, as well as a booming downtown that will transform Colorado Springs into a “smart city.”
