Doctors Lisa Hamilton and Jade McLachlin are eager to see you for your eye care needs. We are proud to offer high-tech eye exams using the latest digital technology. Optos wide-angle retina imaging allows us to perform most eye exams without the need for pupil dilation.

Optos can uncover diabetic retinopathy and other conditions of the retina without dilating the pupil. We also have all the diagnostic equipment needed to treat and manage glaucoma and many other eye diseases.

What really sets us apart from other practices is our dedication to offering our patients the latest technology and our focus on specialty dry eye disease treatment. Dry Eye is a chronic progressive condition now often referred to as “Ocular Surface Disease” (OSD) and 85% of patients suffering from this condition have “Meibomian Gland Dysfunction” (MGD). The meibomian glands are located on the upper and lower eyelids. These glands produce oils that form the top layer of the tear film to prevent the tears from evaporating.

In the case of MGD, the oils in the glands harden, causing a chronic obstruction of the gland which ultimately leads to gland atrophy (death). Once a gland dies, we cannot ever get it back, so the focus of treatment is to get the remaining glands unblocked in order to save them. We offer a non-invasive in-office heat treatment to liquefy the blockage in the glands and get them functioning properly again.
