Dale Anderson Named Senior Vice President of Economic and Defense Development & Government Affairs

The Colorado Springs Chamber & EDC is pleased to announce that Dale Anderson will join the organization as Senior Vice President of Economic and Defense Development & Government Affairs, effective Sept. 2, 2025.

A seasoned leader and longtime advocate for the Pikes Peak region, Anderson brings more than three decades of experience in public service, military affairs, and federal policy to this role.

“It’s an honor to join the Chamber & EDC and continue serving a community I deeply care about,” Anderson said. “Southern Colorado is at the forefront of aerospace, defense, and innovation, and I look forward to working with our community partners to strengthen our position, grow our economy, and support the people and missions that make this region exceptional.”

Anderson spent 18 years on Congressman Doug Lamborn’s staff, serving in key roles including Chief of Staff (2018–2024), District Director, and Senior Military and Veterans Affairs Liaison. He will retire from congressional service later this summer, following his current role as Senior Advisor to Congressman Jeff Crank.

“The Chamber & EDC have chosen a consummate professional. Dale has been a trusted advisor, and I am thrilled he will continue to serve our community in this new role,” Congressman Crank said.

Anderson’s deep understanding of federal processes, strong contacts across all levels of government, depth of relationships with military officials and the aerospace and defense industry, and unwavering dedication to the community have earned him broad respect and recognition.

A U.S. Army veteran, Anderson is known for his strategic leadership on major statewide efforts, including the successful campaign to secure U.S. Space Command’s permanent headquarters in Colorado Springs. He has demonstrated a history of building coalitions, managing high-stakes initiatives, and advocating for military families, veterans, and defense-related economic development.

In his new role, Anderson will lead the Chamber & EDC’s aerospace and defense industry initiatives, guide economic development strategies, and support the organization’s local, state, and federal policy efforts. He also will represent the organization with key stakeholders and work to ensure that the Pikes Peak region remains a national leader in aerospace, defense, and cybersecurity.

“With Dale’s expertise, deep relationships across government and military sectors, and a strong understanding of federal processes, we’re poised to elevate our aerospace and defense economy to new heights,” said Johnna Reeder Kleymeyer, President & CEO of the Colorado Springs Chamber & EDC. “His leadership will be instrumental in driving national security innovation, growing our regional defense industry base, and ensuring the Pikes Peak region remains a premier destination for aerospace and defense investment.”

Anderson will spearhead the launch and staff support for the newly formed Colorado Aerospace & Defense Economic Council (CAD-EC) – a strategic initiative of the Chamber & EDC to strengthen Colorado’s position as a premier hub for aerospace and defense.
