Colorado Springs Chamber & Economic Development Corporation Launches Source Colorado Springs to Boost Region’s National Profile
The Colorado Springs Chamber & EDC has announced the creation of Source Colorado Springs, a new entity dedicated to elevating national awareness of Colorado Springs and the Pikes Peak region as a premier destination for business investments, attracting a talented workforce, and hosting business conferences.
Jayne Mhono Dickey, formerly the Communications Manager at the Colorado Springs Chamber & EDC, has been appointed as the inaugural Executive Director of Source Colorado Springs. With extensive experience in public relations and marketing communications, Mhono Dickey has been instrumental in leading strategic initiatives that have significantly enhanced the reputation of the Chamber & EDC, the City of Colorado Springs, and the Pikes Peak region on a national scale. Her expertise in strategic public relations and tactical storytelling has strengthened the region’s brand image, helping to attract business investments and workforce talent and cultivating competitiveness in the region.

It’s important that we tell our story to media and business decision makers across the world, so they think of us as a great place to do business, live, or enjoy our many outdoor and tourist amenities,” said Johnna Reeder Kleymeyer, President & CEO of the Colorado Springs Chamber & EDC. “Jayne’s expertise in public relations and communications make her the ideal leader to tell the human-interest stories of our region through this proactive initiative.”
Mhono Dickey is a seasoned public relations and marketing communications professional with a career spanning 20 years across economic development, investor relations, U.S. military programming, and sports marketing. She has led and implemented strategic initiatives that positioned organizations for investments. Before relocating to the United States in 2015, she played a pivotal role in marketing the Kenyan leather industry to enhance access to the global market, supporting organization of international investors forums and collaborating with Kenyan foreign embassies and consulates to expand investment opportunities for the domestic market. Mhono Dickey holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism and media studies (Public Relations) from the University of Nairobi (Kenya), has earned certification in economic development, and has participated in the Pikes Peak Leadership program.
