Colorado Springs, Colo. –  Today, the Colorado Springs Chamber & Economic Development Corporation launched a suite of talent initiatives to help address one of the greatest needs of existing businesses and businesses seeking to expand or relocate here.

Find Your COS (pronounced “cause”) will include a suite of programs to help various talent sectors engage with key industries and the local community, helping them expand both their careers and personal lives here.

“The challenge to attract skilled talent to match a local market’s industry needs is not unique to our region. All thriving local economies are competing for talent. Our initiatives will support our region’s businesses and increase community competitiveness. The more connected talent feels within their company, industry, and community, the more likely they are to build their professional and personal lives here, providing employers with a skilled and committed talent pool.” – Cecilia Harry, CEcD, chief economic development officer, Colorado Springs Chamber & EDC

Find Your COS will begin with two pilot programs:

  • Hello Colorado Springs, a wraparound program to encourage summer interns to fall in love with both the company and the region. Hello Colorado Springs is geared for paid interns, offers social and professional engagements outside of their work hours, and provides the cohort with a housing solution for affordability and community. The program will go from June 1 – July 31, 2022.

    • The deadline to confirm program participation is Monday, March 21, 2022.

  • Connect Colorado Springs, a concierge program available to Chamber & EDC member businesses to help them sell the region to potential, new-to-market candidates. A local volunteer will be matched to the candidate based on similar interests and demographics to share relocation tips, neighborhood information, childcare options, recreation ideas, and possibly an in-person tour catered to their specific questions and needs. Wraparound services will include helping the candidates find their people based on common interests, such as activities, faith community, and so forth. The program will begin May 2022.
    • Chamber & EDC members of all ages and experiences that love the Colorado Springs region and want to tell our story are encouraged to volunteer.
