Microchip Technology opening a new design center in Colorado Springs bringing multiple high-paying product design and development engineering jobs

Microchip Technology, based in Chandler, Arizona, with a manufacturing and design site in Colorado Springs, has announced that they are opening a new design center focused on analog and power engineering. There are currently 10 high-paying product design and development engineering positions open for the new analog power business unit in Colorado Springs. They are looking to fill these positions by the end of 2022.

The Microchip Technology facility in Colorado Springs currently has over 850 employees in a wide array of manufacturing, engineering and administrative roles. The facility already maintains product, design and test engineering for memory products, secure products, and custom programmable logic devices. It manufactures and develops 8-bit MCU’s, serial memory, automotive, bipolar, BiCMOS, SiGe, MEMS, discrete, and Silicon Carbide devices.

Additionally, the Colorado Springs facility operates and maintains a probe and test area, quality and reliability function, and a failure analysis lab along with metrology and assembly engineering support. Microchip is looking to expand its already large footprint in Colorado Springs by continuing to develop relationships in the area, including hiring new college graduate engineers to be grown and mentored.
