With strong growth over the last 10 years, it’s no surprise Colorado Springs was announced as one of the top-20 U.S. cities for tech workers.

CompTIA’s 2018 Tech Town Index analyzes metropolitan areas where demand for tech workers is the greatest and ranks them based on cost of living, number of open IT positions and projected job growth over the next five years.

“With a median tech talent salary of $90,438 a year, Colorado Springs IT pros are making similar salaries to those in other Colorado cities on our list, but the cost of living is lower than both Boulder and Denver.”

Home to five National Security Agency certified schools and a strong talent base with STEM education, Colorado Springs is a natural fit for software companies to cybersecurity operations and everything in between. Plus, with a competitive cost of living and down-to-earth quality of life, Colorado’s second-largest city is attracting and retaining a high-quality workforce, as well as millennials at a faster-growing rate than any other U.S. city.
