Touting cities that are alternatives to the traditional large metro, this list proves that the cost of urban living doesn’t always have to come with a seven-figure price tag. The list, which was aggregated from a number of real estate and urban development planning experts, praised Colorado Springs for its proximity to the mountains and Denver, along with its booming job market and outstanding quality of life. These are major selling points for the second largest city in Colorado, which has an average home price well below that of urban markets in other larger, coastal MSAs.
