Bernie McDonnell recognized as 2017 Ambassador of the Year

The Colorado Springs Chamber & EDC recently named Bernie McDonnell as its 2017 Ambassador of the Year.

More than 30 Chamber & EDC members serve as volunteer Ambassadors, contributing their time to help the organization with member engagement, retention, and development through their own work and at events throughout the community.

“If giving back to the community is important to you, supporting the Chamber & EDC should be a top priority,” said McDonnell, a Realtor^® at Synergy Realty Group who has lived in the Colorado Springs area for more than 19 years. “Throughout the year, I connected with new and expanding businesses, and being presented with the Ambassador of the Year is a rewarding culmination of those efforts.”

Since the program was founded in 1980, Ambassadors have been a valuable part of the Chamber & EDC, said Nora Hardin, the Chamber & EDC’s Senior Vice President of Membership and Events.

“Ambassadors create an important connection between the Chamber & EDC and our members,” said Hardin. “The outreach and support they provide helps members maximize their benefits and their role in our business community.”
