Hello Colorado Springs
Hello Colorado Springs
Hello Colorado Springs is a wraparound program to encourage interns to fall in love with both their company and Colorado Springs while interning this summer. The Colorado Springs Chamber & EDC has partnered with Colorado College to provide the cohort with safe, affordable housing in downtown Colorado Springs.
Designed to emphasize Colorado Springs’ attractiveness to summer interns, Hello Colorado Springs goes beyond simply matchmaking talent with companies. The program facilitates social and professional engagements outside of work from Speed Networking to a Cog Railway ride up Pikes Peak, and provides intern cohorts with access to affordable, community-oriented housing. Last summer, Bluestaq, Microchip Technology, Kratos, UCHealth, Altia, and Biggs Kofford participated in the program with 36 interns from 21 different universities and 13 different states. Registration for 2023 is now open and is filling up fast.
The internship runs from June 4 to August 5, 2023. The first round of registration closes on December 1, 2022. Events will be hosted weekly and housing will be available for the entirety of the program.
- $4,000 – Housing at Colorado College and wraparound programming
- This can be split up between the intern and the company based on company preference
- $1,200 – Wraparound programming (Events Only)
- Grant funding available
Hello, I’m Camille!
I’m your point of contact for the Hello Colorado Springs intern program.
I have extensive workforce development and program management experience, having worked at the Pikes Peak Workforce Center, Washington State Workforce, and military transition assistance programs. I’m an advocate for military spouses and veterans and understand what it is like to be the new person in town. That’s why I’m passionate about helping you get your interns connected with our community. Whether they are already a student in the region or just spending the summer with us, I want to show them what makes Colorado Springs the perfect place to launch their post-graduate career.
When I’m not at work, I enjoy grabbing a beer at Lost Friend Brewing Company with my dog, Athena (who only drinks tap water for the record), hiking a North Cheyenne Canon Park trail, or catching a show at the Millibo Art Theatre. I’m a recent transplant from Washington state, so I’ll take your recs on Colorado rafting, rock climbing, and snowboarding.
